Meet the Team
Mechelle Sherrard
Founder & Lead Designer
Originally from Indiana, I moved to Colorado in 2012, where I met my husband and built the life we now share in Arvada with our two children and our dog. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design Technology from Purdue University Indianapolis and bring over 13 years of experience in the interior design profession, with a primary focus on kitchen and bath design.
Throughout my career, I have developed strong skills in project management, attention to detail, customer service, and quality assurance—ensuring that each project runs smoothly and every detail is thoughtfully considered. My experience spans not only design, but also coordinating the many moving parts that bring a space from concept to completion.
In recent years, I had the privilege of stepping away from the industry to be a full-time stay-at-home mother to my two beautiful children. During that time, I continued to sharpen the skills that matter most in both life and design—organization, efficiency, adaptability, and problem-solving—while managing our household, arguably the most demanding project of all. Today, I bring that same level of care, dedication, and thoughtful planning to every client and every space I design.
This journey led me to establish Style & Rail Interiors, a studio focused on guiding clients through cabinetry and finish selections with clarity and intention. Each project is approached with a commitment to functional design and enduring style.
